Zzz... Zzz... Zzz....

Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz... We have been snoozing on this blog, for those of who actually check this... here are a few pictures from our Memorial Day weekend in Houston. Houston was great - quite the contrary to what everyone has told us about Houston prior to our 2.5 hour drive south towards the "third" coast. It is defiantly a city that has an unfair reputation - kind of like New Jersey! (Maybe that is why I liked it). We stayed downtown in a recently remodeled historic hotel, visited Rice University's campus, checked out the Zoo and the Butterfly House in Hermann Park and visited Discovery Green - Houston's new downtown park(...and a fine attempt at attracting people back downtown). We had a great weekend and look forward to getting back! Here are some pictures...

Houston has really worked to improve it's image recently so I think people speak out of their past impression of Houston (I lived there until I was 7 and it was a little lacking back then according to my parents).

I really liked Discovery Green when we visited! Owen is too cute - love those photos. :)
